Enterprises (of any kind) embedded in
today's economic environment are deeply
dependent from their ability to take part
into collaborations. Consequently, it is
strongly required for them to be able to
take part into emerging, potentially
opportunistically, collaborative
networks. The concept of
“interoperability” has been defined by
INTEROP-VLab as “The ability of an
enterprise system or application to
interact with others at a low cost in a
flexible approach”. Consequently,
interoperability of organizations appears
as a major issue to succeed in building on
the fly emerging enterprise networks.
Objective
I-ESA brings together the world's
leading researchers and practitioners in
the area of enterprise interoperability:
it is a unique forum for the exchange of
visions, ideas, research results and
industrial experiences, dealing with a
wealth of interoperability research
subjects for business, enterprise
applications and software.
The industry will find at I-ESA'14 an
outstanding opportunity to exchange
experience and problems on business
interoperability in their daily
operations. I-ESA series of conferences
have become a forum where industry and
research worlds meet and share experience,
ideas and problems on different
interoperability aspects.
I-ESA´14 is definitely "the event" for
those who want to know the future, the
forefront of research and the industry
expertise/viewpoint in this very important
domain of Enterprise Interoperability.
Publication
Additionally to the regular proceedings
of I-ESA (“Enterprise Interoperability”
books series published by Springer),
several international journals (WoS) have
been contacted in order to define special
issues or paper selections from I-ESA'14
scientific production. The global
objective is to cover the thematic
structure of I-ESA'14 with such
opportunities of publication in order to
value high-level presented papers.
